It feels so good to be back on stage!

The reading with Mad Cow went incredibly well!  It was an honor to be on stage with some of the best actors in Orlando.  It was also wonderful to be a part of the talkback.  We often talk about how art and science are so different.  But the two are not so different when we think about questions of ethics, the process of creation and discovery, and the role of the final product in society.  There were a number of scientists in the audience this weekend.  I truly enjoyed hearign their perspectives.

Tonight I return to iTeam rehearsals.  We have the privalege of drilling tonight.  We will practice isolated components of interacting.  This means that we will focus ont he skills that allow us to facilitate the experience of the spect-actor and drive the story in a way that pleases both the spect-actor and the audience.  It is not a small task, but it is a task our ensemble is good at achieving.  It taps into improvisation skills, acting sckills, social science awareness, and storytelling (writing) skills.  I like it.  It's challenging.

Other than that, this week is about finishing up some instructional videos on speech delivery.  I'll post them in my teaching materials section when they're complete.  My personal deadline is Friday for at least one video.  (It's on Eye contact.  It should be fast and fun!)  I'm also wrapping up my Artist portfolio.  Another personal deadline of Friday.  Let's see how that works out!

Finally, I'm returning to Yoga tomorrow.  I took some time off for the holiday and for the flu.  It's time to go back.  I've missed it!

Happy new year!  Thanks for checking in!
